About the Event

Cyber threats are escalating in speed, sophistication, and impact. As ransomware, nation-state attacks, and AI-driven breaches become more frequent, boards are expected to provide active cyber risk oversight, ensure crisis readiness, and fulfill their fiduciary duties. Today’s cyber incidents, ranging from data breaches and third-party failures to AI-driven threats, are no longer just IT issues. They are enterprise risk events that trigger disclosure obligations, regulatory scrutiny, and significant legal, financial, and reputational consequences, placing directors on the front lines of governance and decision-making.

In this interactive virtual session, board leaders will hear a real-world data breach case study from fellow board director Dina De Haeck, who will share candid insights from navigating a cyber incident firsthand. Cybersecurity expert Christine Baird will frame the board-level governance and oversight responsibilities directors should understand when preparing for and responding to a cyber incident.

Peer group breakouts will follow to share how your boards are overseeing cyber risk today, compare approaches, and identify opportunities to strengthen board readiness and resilience.

This session will equip directors with the critical questions board directors should be asking management, offer guidance on overseeing incident response, and gain actionable strategies to strengthen their board’s role in cyber preparedness and effective crisis response.
