Professional Experience
Dr. Kinney is a seasoned and tested professional with over 20 years of experience unlocking the potential of existing leaders and enabling them to reach new heights in their career and business success. Her expertise and curated craft is Workplace Psychology, the field of psychology that studies people, work behavior, performance, and work environments to understand how behavior can be influenced, changed, and enhanced to benefit employees and organizations. She is known for driving to results, employs a no-nonsense approach, and can close the gap between dysfunction and function maximizing the effectiveness in leaders. Clients have commended her for helping them stretch and grow in their understanding of how their vision relates to strategy, objectives, and action plans that will make their business a success. She is described as skilled in challenging leaders to use empathy to see opportunities from all angles and guiding them to discover their own solutions, while ultimately helping leaders reclaim their stake in the future. Dr. Kinney specializes in government and family business transition with deep experience across manufacturing, health care, financial services, retail, family businesses, law enforcement, and professional services.
Qualifications & Accreditations
Dr. Kinney has a PhD in Organizational Consulting/Business Psychology, with a focus on Human Behavior at Work, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Augsburg University and has a Certificate in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School. Dr. Kinney is an adjunct faculty at the University of Minnesota teaching leadership classes.
