Stacy Donohue is an experienced global impact investor, grant maker, and organizational leader across multiple domains, including civic engagement, digital media, and gender equity. Stacy spent 14 years working for the philanthropies of Pierre and Pam Omidyar, most recently as Executive Vice President at Luminate, the largest of the Omidyar Group of philanthropies. As the number two executive at Luminate, Stacy was responsible for Strategy, Communications, People Operations, Partner Support and Learning for a global philanthropy with a $100M budget and 60+ staff around the world. Prior to that role, she was Managing Director, leading a global investment team sourcing and executing impact investments and grants in the US, Africa, Latin America and Asia for Luminate. Stacy also spent several years as an Investment Partner at Omidyar Network, creating ON’s civic empowerment investment strategy and building and managing a multi-million dollar portfolio. In addition, she has been a Board Director for several non-profit and for profit organizations.
Before her career in philanthropy and social impact, Stacy spent over a decade in the private sector in senior roles in technology strategy and mergers and acquisitions at Hewlett-Packard Company, strategy consulting at Boston Consulting Group, and investment banking at JP Morgan & Co.
Stacy is currently consulting to Geneva Global, a philanthropic advisory firm serving family offices and foundations. She is based in the Bay Area of CA.
