Julee Stephenson is a corporate affairs and marketing-communications senior executive with a broad range of experience leading public affairs, communications, marketing and customer experience strategies. Her career spans energy, regulated utility, hospitality, higher education and nonprofit sectors, with an emphasis on strengthening reputation, positioning, and employee engagement; driving revenue; and leading new and established teams through change and transformation. Julee’s expertise is in working with organizations through changing business environments.

As senior vice president of corporate affairs at a Fortune 500 energy company, she led the strategy to deliver a successful corporate positioning and launch to investors, customers and other stakeholders following a corporate separation. She served as advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on external positioning, thought leadership and overall communications strategy. She was responsible for board reporting on topics including reputation management, ESG and sustainability, political reporting, and community engagement/charitable giving.

Leading a 400+ employee customer experience organization, she launched an enhanced customer communication strategy including targeted marketing campaigns and new customer bills and websites for 4 million customers. She has led similar efforts in higher education through an integrated strategy to drive lower overall operational costs and increased engagement.

Julee serves as co-chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Arts and Sciences at Boston University. She serves on the board of directors and as the chair of the development and communications committee for EFAA, a nonprofit in Boulder County, Colorado.

Julee earned an MBA with a marketing focus from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in political science from Boston University. She also has earned a Master’s Certificate in project management from George Washington University.
