Me.
Elena Krasnoperova advises and invests in purpose-driven women-led Technology startups, focusing on Climate and Sustainability, Women’s Health, Aging, and Education. Elena is also an investor and Limited Partner in women-focused funds such as How Women Invest and Portfolia. Elena founded WOW Bay Area, a supportive community that helps professional women going through a career transition design their next chapter and live the life full of purpose and joy. Elena has been mentoring and supporting women through her entire 25+ year career in Tech, most recently at Meta where she led a team of 1,500+ data scientists as the VP of Analytics for the Ads business.
Elena came to the United States from Russia in 1990 to attend college without a single dollar in her pocket and went on to build a successful career and life. After graduating from Stanford with a Ph.D. in Psychology, Elena started her career as a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. She then went on to work at eBay and PayPal, at startups such as Zong (acquired) and oDesk (IPO), and eventually became a Tech entrepreneur herself. She founded 2 startups in the Family Tech space where she created apps to improve the lives of working parents, especially Moms. In her spare time, Elena loves to teach Zumba at the Y, travel, read, and meet interesting people.
