What Nomination and Governance Committee Does and Its Relevance to the Board Search: Jan 31st

Nominating and Governance committees play an important role in identifying individuals qualified to be board members, selecting/recommending board members to shareholders and developing a set of corporate guidelines for the board. Corporate guidelines are under increasing scrutiny as a result of a focus on ESG, diversity of the company employees at all levels and more recently, lawsuits to hold boards accountable for diversity at the board level. Audit Committee: March 28th

Whether you’re a seasoned director or aspiring to sit on your first board, understanding the foundations and expectations of audit committees is an essential skill to have. This session will explore recent trends and common risk areas to look for in the role of the audit committee in corporate governance and risk management.

More Than Numbers: Financial Statements Every Board Member Should Know: April 18th

No matter what board you sit on, every board member must possess a basic understanding of how to analyze financial statements to make decisions that satisfy his or her duty of care. The experts at EisnerAmper will walk you through how to evaluate decisions and direction of an organization effectively through reading the following information:
