From Power to Impact: Leadership in the New World of Work
Time & Location

Virtual Workshop
About the Event
We are moving beyond the liminality of the pandemic, but the world - and the workplace - is still in the midst of a major transformation, savvy leaders are finally recognizing that what used to work at work no longer does - and what used to work for some, doesn't (and never did) work for all. This transition has many of us asking three key questions:
- How can I use the time I have left to drive meaningful impact for the world at large?
- How can companies and the leaders who lead them - at every level of the organization - work together to build a better tomorrow for the generations to come?
- How can each of us feel empowered to be more and do more?
In this discussion, we will address the fundamental changes rocking the workplace and review how modern leaders can and must be focused on driving triple bottom line impact for themselves, their teams/companies, and the world at large. We'll help you look at your own relationship to power, privilege, and purpose and introduce you to HEARTI - the six essential power skills for modern leaders.
Built on recent breakthroughs in cognitive and positive psychology, organizational design, performance management, and extensive research with 1,000s of leaders across numerous industries, HEARTI stands for: Humility, Empathy, Accountability, Resiliency, Transparency, and Inclusivity. You'll learn how modern leaders are using these power skills to infuse their leadership and you’ll get two Leader Tools to put your power skills into practice right now.
Join JeanAnn Nichols and Lisen Stromberg, proud collaborators of - and advisors to - How Women Lead, on November 1st for a sneak peak into their new book, Intentional Power: The 6 Essential Leadership Skills for Triple Bottom Line Impact. We'll gather online to explore the power of collaboration and inclusion, and how using our power with intention is key to driving change. We also review the power skills needed for success as we all work to navigate this complex world. And, of course, we'll celebrate the birth of Intentional Power - a book that couldn't be more timely given the push back by traditional leaders desperate to maintain their power and the status quo.
We hope you leave this session with greater insight into where you stand on the continuum of power and with tools and tips to become the leader we all want and need you to be.
