Pamela Merritt is the executive director of Medical Students for Choice (MSFC), a global nonprofit working in over 30 countries to support future abortion providers and advocate for reproductive justice globally. Before joining MSFC, Pamela co-founded and served as the codirector of Reproaction, a national organization formed to increase access to abortion and advance reproductive justice. Pamela serves on the Leadership Council for Our Bodies Ourselves and is the immediate past chair of the Guttmacher Institute’s Board of Directors. She is also honorary chair of Reproaction’s Advisory Council, chair of the Progress Missouri Education Fund Board, and serves as senior advisor to Raven Lab for Reproduction Liberation. Pamela was a Women Leaders of the World Black Diaspora Fellow in 2025 and a Rockwood Leadership Institute Reproductive Health, Rights, And Justice Fellow in 2017. She has been published in The Chicago Sun-Times, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone
