About
Me.
My Why
I am committed to supporting nonprofit leaders, especially women, as they work to strengthen organizational capacity to accomplish bold missions and change the world.
My Background
My broad-based experience includes a business background combined with more than 30 years of practical experience in non-profit management and governance as a senior staff member, consultant, board president, board treasurer and volunteer.
I hold an MBA and a BS in Computer and Communication Sciences from the University of Michigan. After working in corporate positions at Ford Motor Company, ADP Network Services, Price Waterhouse and Aetna, I pivoted to the nonprofit sector in the late 1980s. Prior to becoming an independent consultant in 1995, I served as COO and CFO of the YWCA Hartford Region.
My consulting assignments focused on organizational assessment, executive and financial management, executive transition, and sustainability planning. I consulted with more than 90 nonprofit clients, including local, regional and statewide social service, child development, advocacy, cultural, historical, philanthropy, and leadership development organizations with budgets ranging from $100,000 to more than $25 million. For more than 20 years, I served as the consulting CFO for Foodshare, a regional foodbank with a solid record of steady growth, sound business and financial management, and an ability to adapt systems and procedures to a changing environment.
I continue to be a very active community volunteer and look forward to bringing all of my expertise, experiences and passion to this new opportunity to serve as a Women Leaders for the World Global Advisor.
