Dr. Gena Coxhas, for more than 25 years, advised and coached business leaders to align their strategic leadership of the human side of the enterprise with insights from I/O psychology. Dr. Cox is known for applying her I/O knowledge and expertise to topical business challenges and trends on leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, employee experience, and workplace inclusion. As a consulting leader in HR departments and consulting organizations, Dr. Cox has impacted employees' workplace experience in Fortune 500 and Global 500 companies in the US, Canada, Denmark, Norway, and the Caribbean. Dr. Cox is a member of the SIOP Professional Practice Series Editorial Board and of the American Psychological Association’s Committee for the Advancement of Applied Psychology (CAGAP). She has been co-chair of the SIOP Awards Committee and a 2022 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium (LEC) planning committee member. She presents and reviews for SIOP’s annual conferences and LEC sessions. Library Journal has cited Dr. Cox’s award-winning book, Leading Inclusion: Drive Change, Your Employees and See and Feel, as an outstanding guide for leaders and MBA students who want to build inclusive organizations. She has written chapters in SIOP publications and other books. She also writes for and has been featured in Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, and Forbes. She is also regularly quoted in other business media. Dr. Cox has served the community in I/O psychology and strategic human resources adjunct teaching roles, as a leader in the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, as a guardian ad litem for children in foster care, and as a member of several civic organizations. Dr. Cox is an alumnus of the Ph.D. program at the University of South Florida.
