Nominating and Governance committees play an important role in identifying individuals qualified to be board members, selecting/recommending board members to shareholders and developing a set of corporate guidelines for the board. Corporate guidelines are under increasing scrutiny as a result of a focus on ESG, diversity of the company employees at all levels and more recently, lawsuits to hold boards accountable for diversity at the board level. Compensation Committees juggle many balls. They need to balance retention strategies, fiscal responsiblitity, and stakeholder expectations as they craft incentive and compensation plans for the organizations senior leaders. More Than Numbers: Financial Statements Every Board Member Should Know: 

No matter what board you sit on, every board member must possess a basic understanding of how to analyze financial statements to make decisions that satisfy his or her duty of care. The experts at EisnerAmper will walk you through how to evaluate decisions and direction of an organization effectively through reading the following information:
