Job Title: Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager

Details: Full-time, flexible hours, remote work 

Compensation: $60,000 - 75,000 plus health insurance benefits

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

 

Overview:

Manage all aspects of social media and digital marketing for the How Women Lead network of businesses. Leverage the tremendous momentum and timeliness of HWL programming for significant brand impact and program results.

 

Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Manage the social media calendar to align with the overarching marketing strategy for the organization 

  • Brainstorm and execute posts, series, and campaign ideas that share our brand's story, grow our following and drive community engagement

  • Post daily on LinkedIn and Facebook

  • Build Instagram and Twitter accounts 

  • Analyze results to gauge the success of campaigns and track growth

  • Partner with key stakeholders to craft and implement marketing campaigns for key programs

 

Digital Marketing 

  • Coordinate program and event collateral needs for various platforms (Mailchimp, Website, Social Media)

  • Craft compelling messages that capture HWL’s brand personality and story

  • Implement website refresh based on brand guidelines provided 

  • Design and support digital presence ensuring HWL is positioned and perceived as a leader on issues related to advancing women, diversity, inclusion, and other 21st century workforce issues; manage the website to ensure it is inspiring and up-to-date 

  • Optimize website content for mobile and SEO

  • Create and distribute regular email campaigns promoting monthly events, special events and timely programmatic calls to action

 

Additional Expectations:

  • Attend selected How Women Lead events

  • Act opportunistically to advance the brand and to unearth new business opportunities for HWL

  • Be ready to take initiative to dive in and do the work. You will be an implementer and executor of ideas as much as a work-flow and project manager.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-5 years experience digital marketing communications experience:

    • Excellent copy writing skills

    • Strong eye for design

    • Experience with marketing communications campaigns (e.g. LinkedIn, direct outreach, etc.)

  • Solid experience managing social media for an organization including growing new accounts from scratch on Instagram and Twitter

  • Advanced skills in Wix, Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics

  • Storyteller thats knows how to authentically capture a brand's unique voice 

  • Start-up experience and/or is comfortable is a “lean start-up” environment

  • Values aligned with How Women Lead’s core values; passionate about advancing women’s issues

  • A collaborative spirit, can work independently, and is a reliable self-starter
