Job Functions: Event staffing, Communication, Social Media, Marketing, Technology Support and Digital Editing 


Job Description: 

This is an internship focused on communications, data tracking and technology. This position is designed to support the How Women Lead team in a variety of tasks. How Women Lead is committed to making this a mutually positive and rewarding experience.  


Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assist in creating visual collateral on various platforms, including PowerPoint, CANVA, WIX, and others

  • Website updates

  • SEO

  • Ability to complete video editing/compilations

  • Work in collaboration with teammates to develop and execute highly engaging campaigns, raise awareness, and create a loyal and repeat membership

  • Assist in creating a communication calendar to be utilized through multiple outbound channels – Email, Social Media, and Events.

  • Ad-hoc event management – logistics planning, invite creating/distributing, post-event follow-up

  • Social media management

  • Ability to assist in writing articles  

  • Conduct Linkedin research on our community

  • Database clean-up management

  • Understand organization objectives and resources and suggesting efficient strategies for meeting those objectives


Skills and Abilities: 

  • Office suite competency, including Powerpoint and Excel 

  • Experience with or curiosity to learn Canva, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Airtable, and polling & CRM tools 

  • Solution-oriented and comfortable with ambiguity 

  • Highly organized

  • Strong communication skills 


Education and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year relevant work experience

  • Knowledge and commitment to women’s issues, women’s leadership, or philanthropy preferred 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications
